Weekend BBQ: Redneck Lipstick BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Smokies

Your weekend BBQ plans start here.

Welcome back to Weekend BBQ β€” your weekly excuse to make something ridiculously good this weekend. πŸ”₯

Every Thursday, we're bringing you a new Redneck Lipstick recipe so you have time to grab the ingredients, get your snacks ready, and prepare for college football Saturday, NFL Sunday, a backyard hangout, or just a hungry crowd.

And this week?

We're keeping things easy, messy, and dangerously snackable.

Meet Your New Favorite Party Appetizer: BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Smokies πŸ₯“πŸ”₯

Little smokies are good.

Bacon-wrapped little smokies are really good.

But bacon-wrapped little smokies covered in Redneck Lipstick BBQ Sauce and caramelized with brown sugar?

Now we're talking.

These bite-sized BBQ treats are smoky, sweet, savory, sticky, and just messy enough to make you forget you ever planned on using a napkin.

They're perfect for game day, parties, cookouts, tailgates, or any time you need an appetizer that people can grab with a toothpick and immediately go back for another.

Fair warning: make extra.

These things have a tendency to disappear.

Ingredients

  • 1 package cocktail smokies

  • 1 package bacon

  • Β½ cup Redneck Lipstick BBQ Sauce

  • ΒΌ cup brown sugar

  • Toothpicks

Directions

1. Preheat your oven.

Preheat oven to 400Β°F.

2. Wrap those smokies.

Cut each bacon strip into thirds. Wrap one piece of bacon around each cocktail smokie and secure it with a toothpick.

3. Sauce it up.

Place the bacon-wrapped smokies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Brush them generously with Redneck Lipstick BBQ Sauce.

Don't be shy. This is BBQ, after all.

4. Add the sweet.

Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the smokies.

As they bake, the brown sugar and BBQ sauce will caramelize into that sticky, delicious coating we're looking for.

5. Bake.

Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is cooked through and crispy and the sauce is bubbling and caramelized.

Keep an eye on them toward the end β€” you want sticky and caramelized, not burnt.

6. Give them one last kiss.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

Then drizzle or brush with a little more Redneck Lipstick BBQ Sauce before serving.

Because there is no such thing as too much BBQ.

πŸ”₯ Make 'Em Your Own

Want to switch things up?

Try using Redneck Lipstick Smoky & Sweet for a rich, sweet BBQ flavor or Hot & Spicy if your crowd likes a little more kick.

You can even make two batches and let everyone decide which one disappears first.

Spoiler alert: they'll probably both be gone.

The Perfect Game-Day Bite

The best party food doesn't require a fork.

It doesn't need a fancy presentation.

And it definitely shouldn't require you to spend all day in the kitchen.

Grab a toothpick, grab a smokie, and get after it.

Serve these alongside your favorite game-day snacks, wings, chips, dips, or whatever else you've got going on the table.

Because BBQ is definitely not a knife-and-fork food. And the better it is, the messier it gets.

πŸ›’ Plan Ahead for the Weekend

This is your Thursday reminder to get your grocery list together.

Grab the bacon.
Grab the smokies.
Grab the brown sugar.

And don't forget the most important ingredient:

Redneck Lipstick BBQ Sauce. πŸ”₯

Save this recipe, grab your Redneck Lipstick 3-Pack, and get your weekend BBQ started.

Because your team might be questionable.

Your BBQ doesn't have to be. πŸ˜‰

See you next Thursday for another BBQ recipe!
